Janet Jackson Surprises Sherri Shepherd on The View


It's not everyday that Janet Jackson drops by to make someone's dream come true. But on The View Tuesday, the pop star did just that. Specifically, Jackson gave co-host Sherri Shepherd a pair of tickets for her fall concert – so that Shepherd wouldn't have to sleep in the street to get some.

When Jackson – clad in white –dropped by, a visibly ecstatic Shepherd jumped from her seat to embrace her pop idol. "I'm such a fan of yours," she enthused while the crowd cheered. "I have every album; I have every poster; I have all of your program books. Aside from Michael, you are my second favorite, girl."

Sopranos Star James Gandolfini Gets Married

James Gandolfini and fiancée Deborah Lin tied the knot Saturday in her hometown of Honolulu, Hawaii, a wedding guest confirms to people. "There was a nice big kiss at the end with both hands on the cheeks" as The Sopranos star and Lin officially became husband and wife, the guest tells people. "They looked great." As a group of their closest friends and family looked on, Gandolfini, 46, and Lin, a former model, 40, exchanged their vows in an intimate ceremony surrounded by white lilies and rhododendrons adorning every pew held at Central Union Church. According to the guest, Lin strolled down the aisle in a white gown made of Italian lace while her tuxedoed groom stood waiting as a harpist played the "Hawaiian Wedding Song" in the background. One choice the fans won't have at the Kids' Choice Awards on March 28? Voting for Chris Brown. Amid the controversy about Brown's nominations at the fun-loving show – the R&B singer who has been charged with assault and making criminal threats against his girlfriend Rihanna – has decided to withdraw his name from consideration, his spokesperson announced Wednesday. "Chris very much appreciates the support of his fans and the honor they have paid him in the way of nominations for Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Song," says the statement.
